Yoga Anatomy Instructor - Online Vinyasa Teacher Training
We are seeking an anatomy instructor to develop and teach the Anatomy & Physiology portion of an online 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training. The lessons should be clear and practical for future yoga teachers, including students with no medical background.
Responsibilities- Create approximately 27-28 hours of prerecorded anatomy and physiology lessons.
- Lead 2-3 hours of live teaching and Q&A for each training cohort.
- Explain anatomy through yoga poses, movement, breathing, and Vinyasa practice.
- Cover major bones, joints, muscles used in asana, muscle contractions, the nervous and respiratory systems, other body systems relevant to yoga, and biomechanics.
- Address joint movement and stabilization, physical limitations, contraindications, and pose adaptations.
- Collaborate on the lesson outline to ensure the anatomy portion addresses the relevant Yoga Alliance RYS 200 standards.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Experience teaching anatomy in a clear, engaging way.
- Ability to connect anatomical concepts to yoga practice and teach future yoga instructors.
- Ability to produce clear, high-quality prerecorded lessons and lead live online sessions.
- Experience teaching yoga anatomy or movement education is strongly preferred.
The prerecorded lessons will be hosted on our learning platform and used with future cohorts. We will agree on the video usage rights and live teaching arrangements before production begins.
The hourly rate is based on 30 hours of final course content in total, including 27-28 hours of prerecorded lessons and 2-3 hours of live teaching. The total project budget is $900-$1,050. The rate is based on the finished teaching hours, not the time spent preparing or producing the lessons.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
