Incumbent must be able to provide a Criminal Background Check with results that adhere to Emanuel County Board of Education Policy GAK(1).
The incumbent must have the ability to effectively communicate with staff.
Performance Functions- Maintain work areas such as custodial closets, storage rooms, supply rooms and custodial carts.
- Report facility components, equipment and tools needing repairs to head custodian.
- Use cleaning supplies, tools and equipment as directed by Head Custodian, Principal or Environmental Services Manager.
- Report all injuries, accidents or damage to facilities and equipment to Head Custodian or Principal.
- Report to work on time and in uniform.
- Perform routine and periodic housekeeping tasks as scheduled and must see them to completion satisfactorily.
- Keep all chemicals secured and away from students.
- Maintain MSDS on hand for all products used and use only products provided by Central Warehouse for cleaning.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all custodial equipment and tools when used.
- Carry out such other duties which may be assigned by direct supervisor.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Ability to maintain, on a regular and consistent basis, relationships that are characterized by high expectations, teamwork, and collaboration. Ability to be flexible relative to daily routines. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the differences among diverse populations.
Concentration:
Ability to maintain workflow and thought processes in the presence of frequent distractions. Ability to ignore irrelevant sights or sounds and intrusive thoughts or stimuli. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with only few or no errors.

Performance will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent or designated Supervisor in accordance with Policy GBI - Evaluation of Personnel.
