Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, organized, and professional environment in an accounting office setting. This role ensures all work spaces, common areas, and facilities are well‑maintained to support productivity and create a positive experience for employees and visitors. Key duties include sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming and mopping floors, emptying trash and recycling, dusting surfaces, and restocking supplies, along with detailed office cleaning tasks specific to a professional workplace.

- Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas of the building, including lobbies, hallways, and breakrooms
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring cleanliness, odor control, and adequate supply levels
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep and mop hard floors regularly
- Dust and wipe down office furniture, desks, chairs, windowsills, baseboards, and other surfaces
- Clean and sanitize high‑touch areas such as door handles, light switches, phones, keyboards (when appropriate), and shared equipment
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
- Clean interior glass, mirrors, and windows to maintain a professional appearance
- Maintain and organize the janitorial/storage room; ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and equipment is in good working order
- Restock office supplies in common areas, including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, coffee stations, and kitchen supplies
- Clean office kitchens and breakrooms, including countertops, sinks, appliances (microwaves, refrigerators exterior/interior as needed), and tables
- Assist with cleaning individual offices, conference rooms, and reception areas
- Set up or clean up meeting rooms as needed (tables, chairs, trash removal, surface disinfection)
- Report maintenance concerns or repair needs (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures, safety issues) promptly
- Perform minor maintenance or basic repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning agents and sanitizing solutions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Basic maintenance and repair skills and ability to operate cleaning equipment - Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and professional office environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with staff, clients, and visitors
- Reliability and consistency in completing assigned tasks
- Evening shift
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
- Must be able to pass a background check
