Domestic Cleaner

Focused Care is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team in Malaga, WA 6090. This is a casual position that plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing and dignity of the individuals we serve in the aged and disability support sector. As a Domestic Cleaner, you will maintain clean, safe and hygienic living environments for our clients, directly contributing to their comfort, safety and quality of life.

This role is essential to our mission of providing compassionate and quality support services to vulnerable members of our community.

• Perform routine domestic cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping and sanitising living spaces
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in client homes and shared facilities in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Manage laundry duties including washing, drying and ironing of client clothing and bedding
• Handle domestic waste disposal in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
• Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns or client welfare concerns to management
• Respect client privacy, dignity and personal preferences whilst completing cleaning tasks
• Communicate respectfully and compassionately with clients and their families
• Follow established cleaning schedules and adapt to client needs as required

• Proven experience in domestic cleaning or similar housekeeping role, ideally within aged care or disability support settings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Reliability and punctuality with the flexibility to adapt to casual working arrangements
• Physical capability to perform cleaning duties including lifting, bending and prolonged standing
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate respectfully with clients, families and team members
• Understanding of and commitment to person-centred care principles
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) and Police Clearance
• NDIS Screening Check
• Drivers licence & suitable roadworthy comprehensive insured vehicle
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions clearly
• Preferred:
  Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals and knowledge of aged care or disability support best practice
