Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Maintenance Manager
WEG Transformers USA (WTU), located in Washington, Missouri, has been a reliable manufacturer of transformers across North America and internationally since its acquisition in 2017. Specializing in three-phase pad-mounted, primary and secondary substation transformers up to 10 MVA, WTU also produces small and medium power transformers through 80 MVA top-rating, 161 kV. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Leader based in Washington, MO. The Maintenance Leader will oversee and manage the maintenance operations at WEG Transformers USA. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling and supervising equipment repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, developing maintenance procedures, managing a team of maintenance personnel, coordinating preventative maintenance, and maintaining detailed reports of all maintenance activities.
Additionally, the Maintenance Leader will work closely with other departments to improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
- Strong knowledge in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proven experience in leadership, team management, and collaboration in maintenance operations
- Familiarity with safety standards, quality assurance, and compliance practices
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector will be an added advantage
