A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER

As a School Janitor - Cleaner, you keep our facilities looking good. You arrive for each custodial shift ready to work, enjoy focusing on tasks, and remain friendly and service oriented. You will perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, and other janitorial duties. You take pride in helping the school shine.

You remove the trash and transport it to the appropriate areas. As needed, you help out with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record that is acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier
