EssentialFunctions
- To maintain and direct all maintenance activities, ensuring that all hatchery equipment is operating safely and at peak efficiency.
- Maintain and monitor a parts inventory that is economical and within budgeted costs.
- Responsible for general maintenance of equipment and buildings.
- Maintains a parts inventory, to include ordering and receiving of the same.
- Conducts plant safety audits.
- Coordinates and complies with plant preventative maintenance programs.
- Completes special projects as needed.
- Does electrical troubleshooting, A/C and/or electronics.
- Provides hatchery relief labor under emergency situation.
- Must be able to monitor and direct maintenance personnel so that all job requests are completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Must be able to monitor and control a parts inventory in a cost-effective manner that is within budgeted costs.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to move 100 pounds.
- Must have strong welding skills.
- Must have good electrical knowledge.
- 4 – 6 years' experience in the hatcheries preferred.
- Must maintain an acceptable DMV record.
- Pallet jack and forklift training.
- Respirator training.
