The ability and manual dexterity to operate hand tools and power tools and equipment and climb on ladders. Required to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. May be exposed to paint/solvent fumes and odors. Mask, gloves, gown, eye and ear protection and protective equipment must be worn as conditions dictate. Possible exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials.

Normal vision and hearing required. Must be able to communicate clearly and possess the ability to meet multiple job demands in a busy environment.basic function:to clean and maintain living units, classrooms and public areas on the waterford country school (wcs) campus. Assignments are varied and work may be performed independently or with other staff, with the worker responsible for determining appropriate work methods, equipment and materials for most assignments.duties

and responsibilities:vacuum, dust, clean bathrooms, hallways, common areas and other spaces in living units, as assigned, on a daily basis.re-supply all public bathrooms on a daily basis.follow a fixed daily schedule for cleaning classrooms and offices in the levine education center.follow agency safety practices on the work site and ensure that cleaning supplies are appropriately stored and secured.maintain public areas in a clean, neat manner.notify

the director of buildings and grounds of items in need of repair, safety violations and/or other problems with assigned areas.assist the maintenance department with light maintenance and painting projects, as assigned.periodically complete heavy maintenance tasks such floor stripping, floor waxing, carpet shampooing and spot cleaning, as assigned.maintain skill in the use and care of hand tools and power equipment necessary to perform various custodial, light maintenance and repair tasks.maintain

high levels of safety, security, care and responsibility for equipment, cleaning materials, tools and work sites, ensuring that children/youth, staff and visitors do not have access to dangerous equipment, tools or hazardous conditions.carry a cell phone and be available, as necessary, to work weekends, holidays and on overtime during time of emergencies and/or special needs and meet timelines for critical projects.attend

and actively participate in maintenance department and other meetings as scheduled, and assigned.use the care: creating conditions for change evidence-based model to guide interactions and philosophy of support for youth, agency staff, volunteers and stakeholders.maintain knowledge of and follow agency policies and procedures as contained in the wcs personnel handbook, wcs procedure manual, and departmental manuals.function as a positive role model for all students and staff at the waterford country school.maintain

an awareness of and sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the service population and fellow staff members of wcs, ensuring that cultural needs are respected and supported through the delivery of services and the development and implementation of agency programs and policies in a manner that is free from discrimination and bias relating to race, ethnicity, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, status as a victim of domestic violence or religious beliefs.maintain
