Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician

About the RoleAs a Decontamination Technician you will perform housekeeping and decontamination activities in all Radiological Control Areas. You will operate various test equipment and machines as required, such as high‑pressure washers, laundry machines, RP meters, and others. You will report to the site coordinator and be located at your assigned plant.
Key Responsibilities- Climb ladders and work at multiple heights.
- Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Complete training and certification to operate different equipment, including:
- High‑pressure sprayers
- Vacuums
- Small pendant cranes
- Hoist
- Miscellaneous equipment
- Understand oral and written communications, technical requirements, procedures, and directives associated with working at a nuclear plant.
- Possibly require a respirator physical and training.
- Work in adverse conditions such as high temperatures and confined spaces.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to pass a security background check.
The hourly pay range for this position is estimated to be $13 to $20 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
