Maintenance Professional

We seek an enthusiastic professional with proven skills in all areas of maintenance (mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc). This position is responsible for all activities relating to facility repair, projects, security, cleanliness, maintenance and general operations of the facilities and grounds. Ability to complete jobs with a sense of urgency and attention to customer service is a must. This role will support member satisfaction by assuring a clean, safe and attractive facility by working with other Y staff members.

Responsibilities

• Model the YMCA character and values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility through your actions and conversations with members.
• Successfully carry out the daily facility operations, services and maintenance of the Y.
• Monitor preventative maintenance work, follow scheduled PM's
• Actively engage and build relationships with members, contractors and staff.
• Respond promptly to work requests from staff and members.
Problem Solving Skills, Attention to Detail, Highly organized with the ability to multi-task Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Painting, Housekeeping, Grounds preferred High School Diploma

Physical Demands

• Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping
• Exposure to the outdoor elements
• Exposure to electrical/mechanical mechanisms
• Exposure to some chemical elements
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast paced environment
• Noise level - high

Scope of Responsibilities

· Assist in the overall maintenance, safety and cleanliness of the YMCA Association Facilities
· Respond to the highest priority task daily, while still delivering preventative continuity
· Various programs and needs at each location ie:
Childcare, Health and Fitness, Sports, Housing, Administration, Aquatics, etc. Must be adaptable to ever changing needs. Compensation: $14.00 per hour
