Position: Roadside Technician Commercial Tires (Paid Training) - Waterloo, IA

Roadside Technician

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence: "An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets". When a customer has a tire related failure, a technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or replace the tire. The technician is expected to be roadside while performing their duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, technicians will help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.

Starting Pay: $22 (will train) – $25 (experienced) hourly

Location: 2721 Lackland Dr, Waterloo IA

Shift Information: Example shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. Rotating on‑call after‑hours service calls – guaranteed two‑hour minimum and double pay per call.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency tire and roadside repair calls.
  • Travel to customer locations to repair or replace tires.
  • Mount, dismount, and repair commercial tires, including match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
  • Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, wear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with shop duties such as mounting orders, cleaning, organizing, and performing general support tasks.
  • Participate in mandatory on‑call rotation, responding to after‑hours service requests with a high acceptance rate.
Basic Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous commercial service tire experience.
