Job Summary

The Custodial & Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the facility's custodial and sanitation program to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. This role manages daily custodial operations, sanitation schedules, inventory, employee training, and regulatory compliance while maintaining company quality and safety standards.

The Custodial & Sanitation Supervisor works closely with the Quality Manager and cross-functional departments to support facility cleanliness, continuous improvement initiatives, employee development, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Custodial & Sanitation Operations
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure timely completion of all custodial activities.
  • Oversee and participate in daily custodial and sanitation operations while ensuring compliance with company safety standards, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify facility cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Identify sanitation issues and opportunities for improvement, escalating concerns to the Quality Manager as needed.
Inventory & Program Management
  • Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, PPE, chemicals, and other sanitation-related materials.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to support daily operations.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of sanitation products and chemicals.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide leadership, supervision, scheduling, staffing, and workload management for custodial employees, including weekend coverage when required.
  • Train, coach, and develop custodial staff to maintain high performance and consistent quality standards.
  • Promote a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a custodial, sanitation, or maintenance environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of custodial procedures, janitorial equipment, cleaning products, techniques, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an eight-hour shift, with occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing.
  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, hearing, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with the ability to perform work requiring both close and distance vision.
Benefits, Compensation, & Schedule Compensation:

$55,000/annually

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm (Flexibility to work weekends, morning shifts, or evening shifts as needed to support business operations is required.)

  • 401(k) available after 2 months of employment
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment
  • Vacation and sick time available after 3 months of employment
