Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Sanitation, Cleaning associate to keep our high-volume food distribution facility clean, safe, and audit-ready. In this role, you will perform daily cleaning of warehouse floors, docks, restrooms, and break areas, safely handle chemicals, and operate basic cleaning equipment. You'll support food-safety by maintaining cold storage and loading areas, documenting sanitation activities, and following strict safety and PPE standards.
As part of our safety-first, performance-driven culture, you'll work closely with operations teams, gain exposure to logistics and supply chain, and have opportunities for skills training and advancement within PFG's nationwide network.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of warehouse floors, docks, racks, and common areas to meet food-safety standards
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces according to company protocols
- Handle, mix, and store cleaning chemicals safely following OSHA and company guidelines
- Operate basic cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums
- Remove trash, recyclables, and debris from designated areas and maintain compactors and bins
- Support sanitation for loading/unloading and cold storage areas to protect product integrity
- Complete sanitation logs, inspection checklists, and report issues to supervisors
- Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and immediately report hazards or spills
- Assist with special deep-cleaning projects and audits as required by management
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to minimize disruption to daily workflows
