Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Waukegan, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Target Compensation: $85,000–95,000/year
Schedule: Flexible schedule overseeing 1st & 2nd shifts | Every other Saturday required

- 5+ years of progressive industrial maintenance experience
- Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to work on the production floor
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Job Summary:Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across 1st and 2nd shifts in a manufacturing environment. This role will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing and serve as a key leader within the facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will manage a team of 14 technicians, along with an MRO Buyer and Planner, while driving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Food manufacturing experience is highly , and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities for maintenance personnel across multiple shifts
- Assign work orders, prioritize repairs, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues while remaining hands‑on on the production floor
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and drive reductions in downtime
- Coordinate facility, equipment, and building maintenance projects
- Manage outside contractors and vendors for maintenance-related work
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Support employee development, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and KPI tracking
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s degree - Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments required; food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, and maintenance systems
- Experience with fabrication and metalworking equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Computer literacy required
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a major plus
