Facilities Lead

Uline Inc. is seeking a Facilities Lead to support its Warehouse & Manufacturing operations within the Facilities & Maintenance department. In this hands-on role, you will oversee daily facility upkeep, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure equipment, building systems, and grounds operate safely and efficiently. Partner with operations leaders to minimize downtime, manage vendors, and support preventive maintenance schedules. Responsibilities

• Lead daily facilities and maintenance operations for Uline's distribution and office spaces, ensuring a safe, clean, and highly efficient work environment.
• Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, dock equipment, material handling equipment, and life-safety systems.
• Prioritize, assign, and track work orders using a CMMS, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
• Monitor facility appearance, cleanliness, and functionality across warehouse, office, and common areas, addressing issues proactively.
• Support and enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance, including OSHA guidelines, fire and building codes, and company safety policies.
• Collaborate closely with Distribution & Logistics leadership to minimize operational downtime, support throughput targets, and align maintenance activities with peak business demands.
• Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians and custodial staff, promoting a results-driven, collaborative work environment focused on quality and responsiveness.
• Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, inspections, and capital improvement projects.
• Assist with planning, budgeting, and tracking of facility-related expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, asset histories, and compliance documentation for audits and internal reporting.
• Participate in space planning, equipment layout changes, and minor facility projects to support business growth and process improvements.
• Identify and recommend process improvements and best practices in facilities operations that enhance reliability, efficiency, and employee experience.
• Support emergency response and after-hours issues for facility-related incidents as needed.
