Job Summary

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Part‑Time Dealership Maintenance Personnel position is responsible for performing janitorial and/or maintenance duties for buildings and related areas for Lead Car Toyota Wausau. The Part‑Time Dealership Maintenance Personnel position performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on company buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems and primarily keeps the Company properties and dealerships looking professional.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. (Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)
  • Inspects and troubleshoots various equipment and systems, works with General Manager and/or Department Manager’s when scope of repair is above skill set.
  • Works with General Manager to complete monthly safety checks of eye washing stations and fire extinguishers.
  • General maintenance of grounds including snow removal & lawn care, and landscaping.
  • Completes light painting and touch‑ups as needed. Ensures service drive and lounges are kept neat and clean.
  • Keeps customer restrooms neat and stocked with hand soap and paper products.
  • Cleans floors in delivery bay, service drive, and service shop, as needed.
  • Inspects and replaces light bulbs.
  • Miscellaneous driving duties; including running errands and fueling vehicles.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs as needed.
  • Cleans and sanitize bathrooms.
  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms as needed.
  • Restocks supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
  • Ensures all bathroom dispensers are properly working and replaces as needed.
  • Empties all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
  • Maintain janitorial equipment (cleaning, mechanical, other) as needed.
  • Ensures proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
  • Wears proper personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Orders cleaning supplies as necessary and ensures professional vendor relationships are maintained.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Preferable experiences as a maintenance worker or similar position.
  • Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with tools including hand and electric.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for problem solving
