Expert Maintenance Mechanic – Hospital Facilities

Maintenance Mechanic III – Wausau, WI (primarily Corporate Office Building)

The Maintenance Mechanic III performs repairs and maintenance on hospital buildings, equipment and components. Performs regular and preventative maintenance and emergency calls. Serves as a liaison between Aspirus and outside contractors.

HOURS:

Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly, Varied Shifts

• Advanced knowledge of mechanical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Technical School diploma or equivalent
• State approved apprenticed Millwright, Machinery Repairman or equivalent
• Completion of designated courses at NTC and Healthcare Mechanic Certification as approved by the Maintenance Manager
• Five years' experience in building and equipment maintenance
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire – All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
• Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver's License required
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot or assist in problem solving all mechanical equipment of the facility
