Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Responsibilities- Travel throughout your territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit and perform repair and calibration needs, as well as to provide technical consultations.
- Initiate contact with prospective customers to grow new business to include cold calls, networking and leads.
- Work with HYTORC Bolting Specialists within assigned territory to ensure territory growth.
- Combine technical experience with company training to address customer needs including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment.
- Adhere to company processes, procedures, documentation, safety standards, and schedules.
- Provide required reporting to Repair Manager as to schedule updates, tasks completed, market information, and activity reports detailing weekly accomplishments.
- Collaborate with Repair Manager, service team members, and customers to meet growing day-to-day repair requirements.
- Strive to exceed goals and Key Performance Indicators as outlined by the Repair Manager.
- Provide support as needed to area managers for the growth of sales and service opportunities.
- Check tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintain an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
- Assist in familiarizing and training customers on tool operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrate orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications, and interactions in a cooperative, positive, and professional manner.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for repairs and calibrations.
- Check in inventory to ensure that parts and tools are available for customers. Maintain accurate inventory records, including detailed quarterly inventories of all parts and equipment.
- Ensure vehicle conforms to safety standards by following through with scheduled repairs and maintenance.
- High School diploma
- 3 years of hands-on mechanical/technical experience
- Proven track record of customer service/sales success
- Proven track record of working independently and within a team environment
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Ability to fill and manage schedule
- Excellent technical, communication and organizational skills
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- A safe, preferably covered, space at or near your home to keep the van overnight
- Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds
This position requires travel throughout the Carolinas to call on regular and prospective customers to repair and calibrate tools. These repairs and calibrations are performed in the service area of the company vehicle.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000
