Maintenance Technician

Avalon Rehab & Care Center is seeking a reliable and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operations of our facility. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Schedule: 10 AM–6 PM, 4 hrs Sat and Sun, one day off midweek.

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies
• Assist with groundskeeping duties, including outdoor upkeep as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs
• Support emergency repairs and on‑call needs as required
• Identify and report any safety hazards or needed repairs

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, facilities, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
