Position Summary
Primarily responsible for daily cleaning of patient rooms, ancillary areas, offices, and public facilities in accordance with hospital housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Abides by Universal Precautions and Infection Control program policies.
• Is knowledgeable of safety program and ES responsibilities; and executes those responsibilities when necessary.
• Monitors work area for compliance with JCAHO Environment of Care standards.
• Stores supplies properly. Utilizes cost control measures when obtaining and using supplies. Keeps equipment clean and in good working order.
• All cleaning assignments are completed to ES Department Policy and Procedures.
• Performs unexpected/unplanned cleaning projects along with daily assignments.
• Completes cleaning of patient use equipment, IV Pump and Bedside Commode, to ES Department Policy and Procedures.
• Follows chain of command for any problems, grievances, etc.
• Work traits are professional, positive and productive.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• 1 year of Cleaning Experience (Preferred)
