Floor Technician; Part Time

Job Summary

Floor Technician – responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment at Texas Children's Hospital (Webster, TX). Immediate hiring for a part‑time position.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 6:30 pm–10:30 pm.

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment and utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface applications, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Prior floor‑care experience required; preferred experience as a floor care technician or related role.
• Proven knowledge of floor‑care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
