Housekeeper - Veterans Assistance - Veterans - Cabell

The West Virginia Veterans Home, a welcoming residence dedicated to serving honorably discharged veterans, is seeking a full-time Housekeeper. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. At the West Virginia Veterans Home, you will join a team that values and respects the well-being of our veterans. Our home provides a comfortable and supportive environment for independent veterans, and we are committed to maintaining a clean and pleasant living space for them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop hallways / rooms
• Clean tables, chairs, and other furniture
• Move furniture as needed
• Wash beds and furniture
• Gather and dispose of trash
• Clean and restock bathrooms
• Operate housekeeping equipment such as sweepers, buffers, and floor scrubbers
• Oversee resident workers in housekeeping duties

Requirements:

• Ability to work well with others and as part of a team.
• Capability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, climb stairs, and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to perform other duties as required.
