Position Overview

Coordinator of Maintenance (261 Day Employment) located in Maintenance. This 261‑day term positions for a coordinator overseeing the maintenance department for Raleigh County Schools.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key duties include:

• Supervise maintenance trades and coordinate maintenance activities across all facilities and buildings.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems on location and maintain familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and DDC controls.
• Work professionally with county and school administrators and members of the Maintenance Department.
• Willingness to participate in technology training and secure Asbestos Worker and Supervisor training and test.

• High School diploma or GED with preference for specialized vocational training related to a maintenance field.
• Valid West Virginia Driver's License.
• At least five (5) years of demonstrated successful experience in the supervision of a maintenance trade.
• Knowledge of all facilities and buildings of Raleigh County Schools.
• Demonstrated positive work habits such as good attendance, promptness, appearance, dependability, fiscal responsibility and the ability to work professionally.
• Ability to perform state‑approved competency test and meet the definition of “Qualifications” under WV Code §18A‑4‑8b.

261 day employment term, full‑day employment.
