Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and follow directions
  • Good health with average agility and dexterity
  • Physical strength to perform jobs that require prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters
  • Ability to climb/work at high altitudes on ladders, scaffolds, and/or roofs as the job requires
  • Valid WV Driver’s License
  • Successful passage of State Competence Test
  • Experience with lawn care and riding mowers preferred
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push or pull 50 lbs loads at a time

Director of Maintenance

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of positive work habits
  • Perform duties effectively and productively
  • Assist maintenance workers, custodians, mechanics, or other positions as assigned by the Director of Maintenance
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and perform lawn care to/at all facilities and grounds of Webster County Schools
  • Perform routine manual tasks in any operation of the county school system
  • Load, haul, and unload materials
  • Apply and treat hardwood floor finish and other floors as well
  • Cut lawns using hand power mowers and weed eaters
  • Clean grounds and remove litter
