Role DescriptionForm Energy is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Equipment Maintenance team. This role reports into our Equipment Maintenance Manager. As part of our Equipment Maintenance team, you will contribute to collaboration/partnership with our engineering and operation teams. - Lead & Develop:
Supervise, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Drive Equipment Reliability:
Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and production performance. - Troubleshoot & Improve:
Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvements to eliminate recurring equipment failures. - Coordinate Operations:
Partner with Production, Engineering, Reliability, and Controls teams to prioritize work, support commissioning, and execute planned shutdowns. - Manage Maintenance Execution:
Ensure work orders, labor, parts usage, and asset history are accurately maintained in the CMMS while monitoring key maintenance performance metrics. - Ensure Safety & Compliance:
Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and NFPA 70E standards.
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field, equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience leading maintenance technicians in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as MaintainX, SAP, Maximo, or similar.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage competing priorities, and drive equipment uptime while minimizing downtime.
- Experience planning and coordinating maintenance activities, including shutdowns, repairs, and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E, OSHA, and machine guarding requirements.
- Experience supporting equipment installations, commissioning, and production ramp-ups is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel.
- Ability to analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting tools.
- Flexibility to support off-shift, weekend, or emergency maintenance activities as business needs require.
This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
