The Wellesley Water and Sewer Department is seeking a summer laborer to assist with routine operations and maintenance.
Potential duties include:
- Painting fire hydrants
- Assisting in maintenance and repair of distribution equipment
- Water service repair
- Water quality sampling
- GIS mapping of water infrastructure
- Other duties related to working in a public water system
This position requires a valid Class D Massachusetts Driver’s license and a genuine interest in learning about water systems operations.
This is a 40 hour per week position, working Mondays through Fridays (excluding major holidays) 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Dates of employment are flexible, and the length of employment is expected to be 2-3 months (June through August).
The rate of pay for this position will be $20 per hour.
