Duties include but are not limited to the following: daily chores including walking pens, adjusting feeders and waterers, loading and unloading pigs. Maintaining and monitoring overall animal health, care and treatment. Help with routine vaccinations and injections. Maintenance/upkeep of farm and livestock buildings including power washing, general cleaning. Maintaining biosecurity to prevent diseases, parasites, viruses, etc. from spreading to the pigs.
General maintenance tasks. Other miscellaneous duties assigned & other related Farm worker, Livestock activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
Minimum
Education Required:
None. No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience
Required:
Must have at least 2 months experience. Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone.
Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.
All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Employees are expected to keep employer provided vehicles clean and free of trash. Workers may not post or remove notices, signs, or other instructions from the employer's bulletin boards or the employer's property without specific authorization from the employer.

Additional Compensation:
The employer may choose to pay workers, regardless or origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits:
Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026).
Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
