Hours and Salary
: 8.0 hours per day, 260 days per year. Salary $22.00 - $24.22 per hour.

• Promote a clean, safe, and productive learning and teaching environment.
• Perform general custodial services in assigned building areas, keeping them clean and orderly.
• Keep building and premises, including sidewalks and driveways, neat and clean at all times.
• Set up and/or remove furniture and equipment for school and community events as directed.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing heavy objects or materials; stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, reaching, climbing, and balancing.
• Work indoor and outdoor year‑round in noisy, crowded, dusty, fume, odor environments.
• Promote safety, health and comfort of students, staff and parents; greet the public in a friendly manner.
• Ensure building is open and secured as necessary.
• Use custodial power equipment and hand tools; store and use cleaning products safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Prior experience in school custodial work preferred.
• Knowledge of general school cleaning problems, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; push and pull; talk, hear, and smell regularly.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing.
• Regular lift/move up to 25 pounds; frequently up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
• Regular exposure to vibration; frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles; occasional wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and outside weather year‑round.
• Attendance and punctuality important.

Paid leave benefits include 12 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, 14 holidays and 12 vacation days. Benefits may be prorated based upon date of hire or hours per day.
