Student Fieldhouse Attendant

• Provides patrons with general information about the equipment available in the building, where it is located, and its intended use
• Follows day to day operating procedures, including cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas in and around the parameter of the facility as well as securing the building and overseeing the safety of its occupants during business hours
• Reports any equipment malfunctions to the Health and Wellness Coordinator, if necessary will shut equipment down when safety is a concern
• Ensures that only authorized users (Seminary Staff, Faculty, Students and Dependents of Students) are using the facility. Requires all users to present their  use the facility or check out equipment. Responsible for finding a replacement to work your shift if you are not available
• Tracks Fieldhouse usage by manning the electronic and physical usage tracking logs and assisting patrons in checking in and out of the building. Updates visitor log on Excel spreadsheet

Previous experience working in a fitness center or gym facility preferred but not required. Ability to lift items up to 25 lbs., use wet/dry mop, operate gym floor cleaning machine, and use other cleaning supplies. A willingness to provide friendly customer service to the internal and external customers of the department served. Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
