Building Maintenance Custodian

Our customer in West Bend, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting a Building Maintenance Custodian to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Building Maintenance Custodian, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and custodial services for church and school facilities, ensuring buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained in safe and efficient working conditions.

• Perform maintenance and custodial services throughout all church and school buildings and surrounding areas.
• Check equipment and building controls to maintain proper operation within facilities.
• Maintain facilities, buildings, and grounds to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Inspect and repair equipment and furnishings, including desks, tables, chairs, and window shades.
• Perform routine plumbing repairs, including unstopping toilets, sinks, and urinals, and repairing water leaks.
• Perform routine electrical repairs, including changing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
• Repair and replace doorknobs and locks.
• Perform light patching and painting of interior and exterior walls.
• Assist with general maintenance projects as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance, custodial work, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based environment and support the church’s values and culture.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility regarding schedule, as some weekend hours may be required for tournaments, monthly full staff meetings, and maintenance meetings.

Pay for Building Maintenance Custodian:
Starting at $18/hour.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm.
