Environment Specialist​/Long-term care facilities

Assist with daily coordination of housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, common areas, laundry, and special projects.

Assign and adjust housekeeping staff schedules and room assignments as needed to ensure adequate coverage.

Inspect resident rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and facility common areas to ensure cleanliness meets company standards.

Provide on-the-job training for new employees, including proper cleaning techniques, infection control, and equipment use.

Monitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Supervisor or Administrator.

Ensure all housekeeping staff follow safety guidelines, infection prevention practices, and PPE requirements.

Report maintenance or repair needs promptly to the Maintenance Director.

Support performance expectations and provide coaching to staff when necessary.

Assist with deep-cleaning projects, discharges, and room turnovers.

Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and documentation as required by facility policy.

Serve as a resource and point of contact for housekeeping staff during assigned shifts.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or long‑term care required.

Leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, infection control standards, and safety procedures.

Ability to prioritize tasks, direct workflow, and communicate effectively.

Must be able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Must be able to speak, write and read English.
