Pine Acres Rehabilitation - The Housekeeping is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily coordination of housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, common areas, laundry, and special projects.

  • Assign and adjust housekeeping staff schedules and room assignments as needed to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Inspect resident rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and facility common areas to ensure cleanliness meets company standards.

  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees, including proper cleaning techniques, infection control, and equipment use.

  • Monitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Supervisor or Administrator.

  • Ensure all housekeeping staff follow safety guidelines, infection prevention practices, and PPE requirements.

  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly to the Maintenance Director.

  • Support performance expectations and provide coaching to staff when necessary.

  • Assist with deep-cleaning projects, discharges, and room turnovers.

  • Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and documentation as required by facility policy.

  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for housekeeping staff during assigned shifts.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or long‑term care required.

  • Leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, infection control standards, and safety procedures.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, direct workflow, and communicate effectively.

  • Must be able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

  • Must be able to speak, write and read English.
