SUMMARY
:
The Custodial Services Manager provides strategic leadership and management of custodial operations for West Fargo Public Schools (WFPS). The position supervises, schedules, trains, and evaluates custodial staff and evening supervisors throughout the district. The position is responsible for ensuring custodial operations are conducted in accordance with district policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

This position assists the Director of Buildings and Grounds in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, appearance, and operational readiness of district facilities while supporting facility maintenance, events, and other district operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(Other duties may be assigned)

Collaboration:

  • Collaborates with the Director of Buildings and Grounds to develop and manage annual custodial supply, chemical, and equipment budgets.
  • Collaborates with the Director and other district leaders in budget development, monitoring, and forecasting.
  • Assists in monitoring and administering contracted custodial and event-related services.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with district safety procedures, Safe Schools training requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Supports district emergency preparedness initiatives and assists with facility safety inspections.
  • Develops positive, effective working relationships with learners and staff.
  • Assists with labor planning and staffing strategies to ensure efficient deployment of resources across district facilities.

  • Promotes and enforces safe work practices to reduce workplace injuries and property damage.
  • Promotes continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in custodial operations and facility cleanliness standards.

  • Coordinates and assigns substitute, temporary, and seasonal custodial employees.
  • Maintains accurate records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence related to custodial operations.
