As a Maintenance Assistant at Hebrew (an affiliate of National Health Care Associates), you will assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, ensuring the physical well‑being and safety of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems throughout the facility.
- Help maintain the exterior grounds of the facility, including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and outdoor maintenance, to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on facility equipment, such as elevators, generators, and fire safety systems, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the safety of residents and staff.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, monitoring usage and replenishing stock as needed to support maintenance operations and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, housekeeping, and administration, to address maintenance‑related issues, respond to resident requests, and support the overall functioning of the facility.

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field, preferably in a healthcare or long‑term care setting.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance principles, techniques, and tools, with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct in all aspects of maintenance operations.
