Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Maintenance Manager Heavy Equipment
Under the authority of the career director and the head of career, the Maintenance Manager Heavy Equipment independently manages and implements the maintenance of the site's rolling stock. Positioned as an operational technical reference, he directly intervenes on the equipment while piloting the organization of their maintenance. He carries out his missions alone or with occasional support, ensuring the availability, reliability, and compliance of the equipment.
He carries out his interventions in a demanding quarry environment, respecting the rules of safety, hygiene, and the environment.
MAIN MISSIONS
- Independently ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of the heavy equipment park
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical breakdowns and directly carry out repairs
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment (greasing, draining, regular checks, adjustments)
- Intervene in complex technical operations (replacement of parts, structural repairs, hydraulic adjustments)
- Plan and prioritize interventions according to operational needs
- Ensure equipment availability and limit downtime (possible interventions outside production hours (Saturday) when necessary)
- Ensure regulatory compliance of equipment (VGP, periodic checks, safety)
- Manage orders for spare parts and stocks necessary for proper functioning
- Organize and follow up on external service interventions (if necessary)
- Implement or update the follow-up of interventions (CMMS, registers, reporting)
- Propose technical improvements to make equipment more reliable
- Ensure strict compliance with QSE rules on site
REQUIRED SKILLS KNOWLEDGE
Very good knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics
Mastery of hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and basic electricity
Good knowledge of quarry operational constraints
Mastery of regulatory obligations related to equipment (safety, compliance)
Knowledge of maintenance follow-up tools (CMMS)
SKILLS
Work in total autonomy on a material park
Diagnose and repair complex breakdowns without immediate technical support
Carry out all routine maintenance and heavy maintenance operations
Organize your activity and manage priorities
Manage supplies and anticipate needs
Occasionally manage external service providers
Guarantee a level of equipment availability
DURATION OF WORK TIME
