PositionSummary
The Facilities Director is responsible for the overall campus maintenance of our upcoming Salt Lake City campus. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of facilities and maintenance operations as well as extensive leadership experience, including directly leading and developing a team of one or more employees. Extra ideal if you are certified in HVAC. UTI prides itself on the remarkable condition of our facilities, and that level of pride and commitment starts with our Facilities Director!

Eligibility starts first of the month following completing one full month of employment
- Direct and participate in maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds, including renovations, expansions, and improvements.
- Develop and oversee schedules for preventative maintenance and ensure that facilities are inspected regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs. Ensure repairs comply with internal policies and external regulations (EPA, OSHA, NATEF, ACCSC, etc.).
- Manage the P&L for the facility department and make recommendations for cost containment.
- Partner with Purchasing to solicit bids; select contractors/subcontractors and negotiate bids for project renovation or construction of facilities. Manage vendor relations.
- Manage staffing, training/certifications, development, and performance of the maintenance department, ensuring that staff is informed of changes that affect maintenance.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Experience:
5-7 years of experience in building maintenance, 1-3 years of managerial experience. - Skills:
Strong project management skills. - Skills:
Licensed or certified in one or more areas preferred: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general contractor. - Skills:
Intermediate level in functional skills; HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, welding, safe use of power tools, and hand tools.
