Associate Custodian Nights

Overview

What You'll be Doing:

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment across University facilities
• Provide custodial duties in classrooms, offices, research labs, and public spaces
• Build positive relationships with building occupants and respond to service requests
• Lock and unlock areas according to departmental schedules
• Assist with groundskeeping, snow removal, and other assigned tasks
• Respond to campus emergencies as needed to support public safety and protect University property

As An Associate Custodian (Night), you will perform the following duties:

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment across University facilities
• Provide custodial duties in classrooms, offices, research labs, and public spaces
• Build positive relationships with building occupants and respond to service requests
• Lock and unlock areas according to departmental schedules
• Assist with groundskeeping, snow removal, and other assigned tasks
• Respond to campus emergencies as needed to support public safety and protect University property

Monday–Thursday, 10:30 pm to 7:00 am

Hourly Pay: $15.00 plus $0.70 shift differential for a total of $15.70 per hour

Education and Experience

Qualified Candidates Will Need

• No formal education or experience required

• Must complete onboarding training, or be enrolled in program within 90 days of hire
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate and understand others
• Basic math skills and good work organization
• Ability to learn and use powered and non-powered floor care equipment
• Must be able to work well with others and work in a team environment
• Learn and follow safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment as required
• Ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
• Work outdoors 10% of the time in temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees

• One year of general work experience
• A valid US or Canadian Driver's License
