The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for performing daily housekeeping and sanitation duties throughout assigned clinic locations. This position helps maintain a clean and healthy environment by following infection control standards, organizational policies, and safety procedures while supporting quality patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties throughout assigned clinic locations.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize exam rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, employee lounges, and common areas.
  • Wash windows, walls, furniture, and facility equipment.
  • Replenish housekeeping, restroom, and facility supplies.
  • Perform daily COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
  • Utilize electrostatic disinfectant sprayers for scheduled sanitization of designated areas.
  • Monitor exterior grounds and remove litter and debris.
  • Assist with receiving, unloading, storing, and organizing supplies.
  • Assist with inventory control and supply management.
  • Monitor and fulfill facility supply requests as assigned.
  • Report maintenance, safety, and fire hazards promptly.
  • Follow all infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational safety policies.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred; related experience may be substituted for education.
  • Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Dependable attendance and professional work ethic.
  • Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a healthcare environment while maintaining infection prevention and safety standards.
