Facility: Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center
Location: West Orange, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $21-$25 per hour
Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, secure, and well-functioning facility for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
- Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Handle minor carpentry, painting, flooring, and repair projects.
- Replace HVAC filters and assist with routine HVAC maintenance.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
- Maintain facility grounds and ensure a safe environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and facility policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, remodeling, construction, residential turnovers, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience removing wallpaper and finishing drywall.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn facility systems.
- Must be available to work weekends as needed.
