Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Engine Rebuild & Diagnostics Technician (Shop)

Join DEUTZ, a global pioneer in diesel, gas, and electric powertrains serving construction, agriculture, material handling, stationary equipment, commercial and rail vehicles. At our DEUTZ Power Center, you’ll be the in-shop pro who keeps engines and equipment running at their best.

A day in this role

You clock in, review your queued work orders, and map out the repair sequence for a DEUTZ engine overhaul. Parts are already pre-ordered because you planned ahead; anything missing is coordinated with our Parts Specialists. You diagnose a customer‑reported issue, confer with the Service Department for approval on a complex repair, complete the work to spec, and button up the cosmetic finish so the unit looks as good as it runs.

Throughout the day you keep the bay spotless, document time and tasks precisely, and treat every customer interaction with respect and honesty. Before you leave, you return all unused parts per DEUTZ guidelines and help file a warranty claim on a completed job.

Core responsibilities
  • Execute preventative maintenance and repair work on DEUTZ and non‑DEUTZ products in a shop environment.
  • Triage customer concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Plan repair methods and sequences; pre‑order required parts and materials.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility in partnership with the Sales & Operations Manager.
  • Communicate with integrity; pair every identified failure with a validated solution.
  • Complete work orders and time sheets promptly and accurately.
  • Consult with the DEUTZ Service Department for technical accuracy and repair approval.
  • Assist with processing warranty claims and customer invoices.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
