Employment Typeand Compensation
Part‑time (No overtime eligibility).
Hourly Rate: $15.00 – $18.00 (commensurate with experience).
Probationary Period:
Initial 90 days of employment.
The Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with company and client standards. This position involves routine cleaning of restrooms, floors, surfaces, and designated work areas. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to established safety procedures. This is a non‑exempt, part‑time position and does not qualify for overtime.
Schedules – ResponsibilitiesPart‑time shifts available to work; based on location availability.
Work week starts on Saturday and ends on Friday. This is a 7‑day work week.
Work shifts cannot exceed five days in a 7‑day week. Employees are NOT allowed to work more than five consecutive days.
Job location open seven days—Saturday and Sunday. Part‑time ONLY: shifts cannot exceed five days in a 7‑day work week.
Shift durations vary by location:
- 4 am–9 am = 5 hours per shift
- 4 am–10 am = 6 hours per shift
- 6 am–10 am = 4 hours per shift
- Overnight shift (if required): once per week, 12 am–8 am
Day porter position (if available) has 4‑hour shifts—NO OVERTIME.
Responsibilities- Wash, buff, and maintain tile and carpet floors
- Clean restrooms and maintain soap and paper supplies
- Clean and disinfect trash bins
- Vacuum daily and remove stains from carpets
- Detailed cleaning of gondolas, corner guards, and machinery after use
- Pick up trash throughout the store, including the front of the store
- Maintain a backroom organized and stocked with chemicals provided
- Documentation to work in the U.S.
- Must be available to work overnights and weekends
- Must work during the holidays, end of year—required blackout dates
- Must have slip‑resistant shoes at all times
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 50 pounds (trash, boxes)
- Must be able to operate equipment weighing up to 200 pounds (e.g., push, pull machinery)
- Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach required areas
- Must wear a uniform T‑shirt to enter the location and present a virtual badge
- Must use closed shoes at all times
- No leggings allowed
- No shorts allowed
- Must use mobile‑cell to clock in and clock out of shift
- Must be mobile‑application savvy (payroll and time‑keeping applications)
- No audio headphones allowed during working hours
