Maintenance Technician / Handyman

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our team at a thriving 55+ active adult community. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general maintenance, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and resident service requests. This position requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our residents.

• Perform light plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Complete light electrical repairs and troubleshooting
• Prepare apartments/units for new tenant move-ins
• Conduct painting, touch-ups, and general repairs
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Complete general cleaning and grounds upkeep duties
• Set up and break down community events and activities
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, staff, and vendors

• Previous maintenance, handyman, apartment maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
• HVAC experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and supplies
• Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Patience and professionalism when working with senior residents

The right candidate enjoys helping others, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. Experience working in senior living, apartment communities, or property maintenance is a plus.
