The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking to hire four (4) detail-oriented, energetic, personable, and self-motivated student assistants to work at our West Sacramento location. The student assistants will work as part of the Office of Human Resources (OHR), Personnel Transactions Branch to work under close supervision of the Supervisor II, the Student Assistant will be providing assistance for four (4) main projects:
- Official Personnel Files (OPF) - Reviewing for updated documents and complete files. Ensuring that documents are held or purged in accordance with DGS’ records retention schedule.
- Preparing records to be digitized. HR Database
- Updating contact information in our HR database. - Duty Statement Project
- Create a centralized SharePoint location to archive and access documents as needed. - I9 Project
- Review files for I9 documentation, make copies, data entry into spreadsheets.
These positions report to Supervisor II in the Personnel Transactions Branch. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. PrerequisitesStudents must be enrolled in at least: six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students; four-semester units or six quarter units for graduate students.

Work ScheduleF lexible workdays and work hours, Monday
- Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday
- Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer).
$18.27 - $24.62 per hour.
