Field Safety Representative

The Field Safety Representative supports civil and utility construction operations by providing field-level safety oversight, hazard recognition, and incident prevention support. This role works directly with field crews and supervisors to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies, PG&E requirements, and OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations.

• Conduct jobsite safety observations and hazard assessments.
• Support field crews through coaching, hazard recognition, and safety guidance.
• Lead or participate in tailboard briefings, toolbox talks, and safety stand-downs.
• Identify high-energy hazards and potential serious injury or fatality exposures.
• Monitor compliance with company safety programs, PG&E requirements, and OSHA/CAL-OSHA standards.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of safety observations, incident reports, and corrective actions.
• Serve as a safety resource for field operations and assist with regulatory compliance.

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably in civil or utility construction.
• Knowledge of OSHA and CAL-OSHA safety regulations.
• Experience with incident investigation and hazard mitigation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with field crews and supervisors.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Safety certifications such as CUSP, CHST, or equivalent.
• Experience working on PG&E or similar utility construction projects.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000 annually
