Classification: SENIOR TRANSPORTATION ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (SUPERVISOR)
Salary: $11,437.00 - $14,315.00 Work Location: Yolo County Job Type: 12 Month Limited Term - Full Time
Under the general direction of the South Area Construction Manager (a Supervising Transportation Engineer), the incumbent provides expertise to and supervises various classifications of engineers and technicians providing construction technical support on electrical and traffic management activities. The incumbent will provide guidance to Resident Engineers on contracts dealing with highway electrical systems, including highway lighting, traffic control, and traffic management systems;
will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating highway construction electrical work. The incumbent is also responsible for advising staff on construction safety as it relates to electrical contract administration. Must possess a valid California Professional Engineer Electrical License.
- The incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license when operating state owned or leased vehicles.
- California PE License.
Candidate must have eligibility for hire determined by score on the Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotion) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, the applicant must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
