The Purchasing Agentworkscloselywithprojectmanagers ,field operations,andthewarehouseteamtoensurematerialsareavailableontimeandwithinbudget.

• Reviewprojectplansandspecificationstodeterminematerialrequirements.
• Source,quote,andpurchaseallconstructionandPVFmaterialsincludingcarbonsteel,stainlesssteel,copper,andplasticpipe,valves,andfittings,sheet metal,usingestablishedlistofvendors.
  
  Includessourcingheavymachineryrentals.
• Negotiatepricing,payment terms,andfreightwithvendorsanddistributorspercompanyguidelinesandindustrystandardsunderthesupervisionandapprovalofmanagement.
• Developandmaintainstrongsupplierrelationshipstoensurecompetitivepricing,availability,andon-time delivery.
• Process,monitor,andmanageallpurchasesandrequests,includingbackorders,inaccordancewithcompanypoliciesandprojectbudgets,andensureaccurateandtimelydeliveryofmaterials.
• Communicatewithvendors,project managers,warehouse,andfieldsupervisorswithanyupdatesorissueswithmaterials.
• Fieldandexecuterequestforquotes"RFQ"whilemaintainingdataaccuracyandcompliance. May include non-disclosurerequirements.
• Assistwithreconciliatingallorderspurchasedtoensureallinvoicesareapproved.
• Supportinventorymanagementandcosttrackingeffortsincoordinationwith Accounting and Facilities .

• Minimum3yearsofexperienceinpurchasing,procurement,orsupplychainwithinthemechanicalconstructionindustry.
• Strongknowledgeofconstructionmaterialsincludingpipe,valve,andfitting(PVF) products,specifications,andmanufacturers.
• Strongexperienceworkingwithmechanicalcontractors,fabricators,ordistributorspreferred.
• Strong negotiation,communication,andorganizationalskills.
• Proficientinpurchasingsystems,Excel,andERPsoftware(Sage
  300orsimilarpreferred).
• Detail-oriented,deadline-driven,andcapableofmanagingmultipleactiveorders.
• PriorexperiencewithRFQs,purchase orders,ormaterialtracking.
• Experiencesupportingmechanicalcontractors,fabricators,distributors,orconstructionfieldoperations.
