Manufacturing - CNC Grinder II; Manual 2nd Shift

Job Description:

Contract Length: 7 months. 2nd Shift – 3pm – 11:30pm Monday through Friday. 100% Onsite.

• Perform various forms of manual grinding on products, including  (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter) and surface grinding.
• Select proper holding devices for work (e.g., chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc.).
• Deburr parts during machining operations.
• Set up and operate precision grinding equipment and perform basic grinding operations on manual equipment.
• Inspect ground parts using precision measuring equipment (e.g., optical flats, micrometers, indicators) and complete all necessary paperwork (scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data).
• Work from blueprints and/or set-up sheets; work with minimal supervision.
• Identify cost savings and perform preventive maintenance on grinding equipment.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
• Good knowledge of shop math.
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment (e.g., optical flats, micrometers, indicators).
• Willing to work overtime as required.

• Frequent bending, lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Good eye and hand dexterity.

• Capable of completing basic set-ups.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing tasks.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Maintain a high level of ethics and a positive, professional attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills (verbal and written); deliver quality results within required deadlines; work safely following all safety procedures.
• Participate in a minimum of one (1) Kaizen event per year.

• This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon obtaining necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required. Follow environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents.

2nd Shift - Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; overtime is routine. This position is onsite.
