Day in the Life
  • Understanding of day‑to‑day laboratory operations.
  • Responsible for lab restocking and refilling.
  • Supports shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinates cold storage and room temperature storage and handles onsite inventory.
  • Management of biohazardous materials and waste, chemical waste, sharps, and other potentially hazardous materials.
  • Supports lab equipment life cycle and calibration management, including preventative maintenance of a variety of simple to complex laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, water systems, incubators, analytical equipment).
  • Plans and executes instrument post service qualifications, reagent qualification, and inter‑instrument comparability runs.
  • Coordinates activities across multiple teams and maintains cross‑functional relationships across testing teams, project management teams, and site leadership.
  • EHS and 5S champion.
  • Prepares and supports audit readiness.
Keys to Success Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences (preferred) or other scientifically relevant field.
Experience
  • 2+ years experience working in a clinical laboratory.
  • Capable of working at a fast pace on multiple projects and adapting to changes in priorities and work environment.
  • Able to prioritize and optimally communicate through challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, excellence in time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Able to follow onsite standard operating procedures.
  • Able to identify areas of process improvement and drive site communication to address gaps and/or update site procedures.
  • Computer literacy and experience with standard computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Align with site safety policies and follow PPE requirements in the lab.
  • Experience with NGS instrumentation (e.g., Genexus Purification system, Genexus Sequencer, PGM Dx., etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and HIPAA.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $31.73‑$47.60. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
