We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Developer with strong hands‑on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support enterprise‑level application development and cloud modernization initiatives for CalSTRS. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud‑native solutions, working closely with Dev Ops, Security, and cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high‑performing applications.

• Design, develop, and deploy applications on the AWS cloud platform.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and web applications (Python, Node.js, or C#).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub.
• Develop and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Cloud Formation).
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) for containerized deployments.

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS, including: EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Git Hub preferred)
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code:
  Terraform and/or AWS Cloud Formation
• Strong development experience in:
  Python, Node.js, or C#
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with containerization:
  Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Experience with SQL/No

• Hands‑on experience with:
  Encryption standards, Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, Vault), Compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2)

• Experience with AWS Well‑Architected Framework
• Cloud migration / modernization experience
• Experience with AWS cost optimization tools
• Familiarity with cloud security tools (AWS Config, Security Hub)
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Cloud Watch, Splunk)
• Scripting experience (Bash, Power Shell)
• Exposure to AI/ML services (Sage Maker) is a plus
