California Sierra Express is looking for a dependable Warehouse Operations Clerk to assit with both office and warehouse duties. The clerical duties will support CSE operations in the performance of daily clerical activities which includes, but is not limited to, responding to internal and external customer inquiries and performing data entry with high attention to detail. As a clerk you will accurately label and manifest shipments and regularly audit shipment tags to ensure all scheduled pick up and deliveries are executed.

You will assist in the recovery, delivery and verification of freight and shipping documentation.

The warehouse duties will include unloading/loading trailers, our warehouse workers assist our team of in-house drivers to load and off load freight in a timely manner. Our warehouse workers also receive and process inbound freight being dropped to our dock by outside carriers. They label pallets and boxes when received and verify the documentation and condition of incoming shipments to ensure quality standards are met.

You'll be responsible for staging shipments in the proper area of the warehouse and maintaining a safe and clean warehouse and yard. This is a safety sensitive position and falls under federal drug and alcohol regulations.

California Sierra Express has been serving the air freight logistics industry for over 35 years. We operate five freight terminals in CA and one in Reno, NV. We're an overnight carrier serving international and domestic freight forwarders as a final mile Pick-Up and Delivery agent for shipments that travel around the globe.

You'll be joining a local team of over 30 people all committed to providing the best service possible to our customers who trust Cal Sierra to move their shipments on-time throughout the greater Northern California area.

• Load and unload palletized freight using a sit-down forklift
• Process inboud shipments by inspecting and labeling the cargo
• Notate damage or discrepancies on paperwork and report to a supervisor
• Organize and stage freight for outbound routes
• Build and wrap pallets by hand when necessary
• Update shipment details in our freight management system
• Scan documents, print labels, answer phones and emails

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience
• Computer data entry experience
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift
• Ability to safely lift and move freight throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
• Logistics or LTL freight experience is preferred
