Creative Arts Assistant

Join us at the Big E Job Fair on August 18, 2026. Creative Arts Assistants will work with the Creative Arts/New England Center Program Manager and Coordinator on all tasks required for a successful Big E production.

• Organization of pre‑receiving day tags and forms for Creative Arts competition entries.
• Assist on receiving day, judging, set‑up days, and pick‑up days.
• Assist daily during the fair with management of contests, volunteers, demonstrators, and stage presenters.
• Filing, copying, data entry, and contact with a broad range of customers.

• Must be 18 years old by September 1.
• Experience working in a team setting with individuals of all levels, including volunteers.
• Proficient use of technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic calendars.
• Capacity to handle stressful situations in a positive, professional manner.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Flexible and creative approach to work with unforeseen changes.
• Willingness to learn and work with new computer applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• High‑school degree or equivalent.

• Start approximately mid‑August and end two days after the Big E ends.
• 10 to 40 hours per week.
• Days, evenings, and weekend work are required.
